The idea to manufacture a “free of cost public hospital” came to four medical students when they visited the site of bomb blast ‘Bohri Bazar” in 1987 and seen the frustrated people and limited equipment and facilities in Civil Hospital’s Emergency Ward. The dream of those four doctors came true when Indus was formed in 2007. Mainly Korangi and Landhi people visit this hospital frequently but it gives its services to all the people of Karachi and it is funded and governed by Philanthropist foundation.
